In 1998 James started making wine on contract for Harewood and in 2003 he & his family took the plunge to purchase Harewood Estate.
Since then, they have built a new winery, won many national and international awards and are seriously commited to developing sub-regional wines that showcase the variety of the Great Southern.
Even by Australian standards, Great Southern is vast. It provides unmatched versatility and quality for a winemaker.
From the elegance and delicacy of cool climate Riesling to the restrained intensity of Denmark Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The texture and richness of Mount Barker Cabernet and the structure, weight and complexity of Frankland River Shiraz.
