The 2024 Burgundy vintage is a return to classic cool-climate style, producing wines defined by freshness, purity and finesse – a profile that will particularly appeal to UK drinkers.
Often described by growers as “like 2021, but with more intensity and energy”, the wines show bright citrus, mineral and saline notes, with elegant, perfumed reds and chiselled, expressive whites.

Welcome to another year of Burgundian drama for the release of our 2024 En Primeur offer.
For those of you new to this annual dance, let me summarise what the deal is about. The way collectors, drinkers and merchants around the world buy wines from Burgundy takes place just over a year after harvest. You order and pay for the wines now while they are still maturing in barrel or bottle and receive them later in the year when the winemakers think they’re ready to be shipped.
This format is called En Primeur. This year it’s for the 2024 vintage. And as you will read below, this is a great quality vintage however quantities are very limited.
Typically these wines are offered by the case, at an initial offer price, exclusive of taxes. You pay for the wine now, and you pay duty and vat taxes when they’re ready and we ship them to you.
However this can feel overly complex so at Reserve we will offer these wines all tax inclusive straight away. We will also make these wines available by the single bottle, not just by the case. The prices below are by single bottles.
To be clear: the prices below are only valid for the En Primeur pre-orders. Once these wines arrive, their retail price will be higher.
All wines are offered, subject to remaining unsold, on a first come first serve basis. This means we can’t guarantee we’ll be able to get you everything you ordered. We will let you know as soon as the producers confirm our allocations, which should be in the next few weeks.
For those who have followed the Burgundy story, you’ll have noticed that prices have gone up significantly in the last 15 years or so, more than most other wine regions. I wish it wasn’t so but Burgundy continues to be prized and cherished while on the other hand, it’s a relatively small place, they can’t expand. And every year, weather extremes make it harder for growers to produce enough wine to satisfy global demand.
