Get to know: Domaine Belleville Mercurey Champ Ladoy 2024

A rich and expressive Burgundy red wine from the renowned Mercurey vineyards in the Côte Chalonnaise.

Tasting Note

Domaine Belleville Mercurey Champ Ladoy 2024 is a deep and fruity Pinot Noir that combines freshness with generous, ripe flavours. Ruby red with purple tints, it opens with aromas of raspberry, blackberry, a touch of spice, and subtle hints of oak. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, with a soft, rounded attack and delicate, well-integrated tannins. The finish is long, gently spiced, and balanced, making it an approachable yet refined expression of Mercurey Pinot Noir.

Top food pairings:

  • Roast duck with orange glaze
  • Grilled lamb chops with rosemary
  • Mature cheeses such as aged Gouda or Comté
Kate Says

"This domaine based in the Cote Chalonnaise has seen significant improvements since it changed ownership in 2017. The 2024 Champ Ladoy is a giving a lot of wine for the money–generous, fruity, and comforting, yet full of subtle complexity."

Producer Info

Domaine Belleville has been part of Burgundy’s heritage since the early 20th century, with vineyards spanning from Gevrey-Chambertin to Mercurey.
