Now run by Gerald, Rene’s son, this deeply traditional, small estate (3.2 ha, 10-12,000 bottles per year… much less in 2024) produces some of most fantastic Pinot Noirs I’ve ever tried. As with Remi above, Gerald’s philosophy is rooted in the caring of the vineyards, certified High Environmental Value, a French certification for sustainable farming. The trademark Vosne style is there for all to see: power and elegance.

His “standard” Bourgogne Les Champs d’Argent is one hell of a calling card and seriously punching above its weight. For what you get in the glass, it’s great value so I highly recommend you secure some asap. The Vosne-Romanée, if we can get some, will be quite a prize indeed.
