Get to know: Domaine Sylvain Dussort Côte d’Or Pinot Noir 2024
A refined Burgundy red wine from the Côte de Beaune, made in the heart of Meursault.
Tasting Note
Domaine Sylvain Dussort Côte d’Or Pinot Noir 2024 is an elegant, supple Pinot Noir that shows a softer, more charming side of Meursault’s lesser-known reds. Bright ruby in colour, it opens with inviting aromas of ripe red cherry, black cherry, subtle spice, and a gentle earthy note. On the palate, this Burgundy red is smooth and finely balanced, with silky tannins, juicy red and black berry fruit, and a touch of black pepper and mushroom complexity. The finish is fresh, rounded, and quietly persistent. A beautifully judged wine that delivers real finesse and excellent drinkability.
Top food pairings:
- Classic French meat pies or terrines
- Pot-au-feu or slow-cooked beef dishes
- Roast chicken or pork with herbs
Kate Says
"This is one of those Pinot Noirs that just slips into place at the table. Not flashy, just beautifully put together – and dangerously easy to drink."
Producer Info
Domaine Sylvain Dussort is a highly respected family estate based exclusively in Meursault. Sylvain took over the domaine in 1982 and is now joined by his daughter Anne-Caroline, who continues the house’s thoughtful, traditional approach. Known as one of the quiet pillars of Meursault, the domaine focuses on early picking for freshness and long, cool élevage, producing wines of balance, texture, and understated elegance across both white and red Burgundy.
How it’s made:
- Varieties: 100% Pinot Noir
- Hand-harvested from vineyards in Meursault, including Les Durots, Lameroses, and Les Clous Perrons
- 100% destemmed, with careful handling to preserve fruit purity
- Fermentation in wooden vats using natural yeasts, lasting around 10 days
- Aged on the lees for 12 months in vats and barrels (around 20% oak), followed by a short period in tank before bottling
