A very well crafted and quite delicious Pinot Noir with well defined brambly red fruit mixed with savoury, earthy aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and well balanced acidity which creates a harmonious and silky texture.
From three vineyards: ‘Très Girard’ (planted in 1920), Clos Solon Très ( planted 1945), and ‘Clos des Ormes' (planted 1951 and makes up 2/3 of the blend). All the grapes are hand-harvested in mid-October and sorted in the vineyard. Aged for one year in oak barrels with 20% new oak - light filtration.
The Remi Jeanniard family estate was created in 2004, with 5.8 hectares of vines across the villages of Morey Saint Denis, Gevrey Chambertin and Chambolle Musigny in the heart of the Cote de Nuits. The philosphy is to show respect to the land to create wine that reflects the variety, vintage and fantastic terroir.
