Spain's flagship red grape, Tempranillo (tem-prah-NEE-oh) is one of the most widely planted varieties in the world - and one of the most versatile. It produces everything from bright, unoaked everyday reds to complex, cellar-worthy Gran Reservas.

You'll find classic Rioja Crianza, Reserva and Gran Reserva from Rioja Alavesa, structured Ribera del Duero from old vines, and lighter, fruit-forward expressions from Castilla-La Mancha.
