Bodegas Isidro Milagro is a family-run winery with three generations of winemaking know-how behind them. While they're based in Rioja, their Cal Y Canto wines are crafted from fruit grown in Castilla-La Mancha – one of Spain’s most exciting wine-growing regions.
The vineyards sit high on the plateau, between 300 and 750 metres above sea level. That means hot sunny days for full ripeness, but cooler nights to lock in freshness – a perfect recipe for juicy, vibrant wines with smooth tannins and balance.
Each grape – Tempranillo, Merlot and Syrah – is picked at peak ripeness and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks. The winemakers use regular pump-overs to extract colour and flavour, but keep things cool and controlled to preserve all that fresh fruit character. After blending the best batches, the wine is matured briefly in tank, not oak – keeping it bright, pure, and all about the fruit.
