Get to know: Cal Y Canto, Tempranillo, Merlot, Syrah
Tasting Note
This is a little gem. A velvety, fruity blend with bold flavour of ripe berries. It is juicy on the palate with plum, cherry and blackberry finishing with gentle tannins and a little warm spice. A wine you can enjoy just as easily on Tuesday after after work or at a weekend barbecue.
Try this with grilled meats or a Mediterranean meze.
Kate Says
"Sometimes you need a wine that just tastes good and you don't need to think about. This is that kind of wine and also an example of the value you can get from Spanish regions like La Mancha. It has great fruit and would be perfect for barbecue."
Producer Info
The vineyards of Bodegas Isidro Milagro are distributed throughout the different areas of Spain, primarily in La Rioja and La Mancha. They look for the character of each area and try to maintain the traditional balance of the wines.
Their vineyards are located at an altitude of between 300 and 750 metres above sea level, which gives the grapes special qualities to produce white, rosé and red wines with their own special personality.
They are proud to be among the top 10 wineries in Spain, but the history of their family group goes back three generations, with deep business roots in both the fruit sector in La Rioja and olive oil in Andalusia.
