A very classy Chablis that really shows off the purity of fruit that makes Domaine Alexandre wines so satisfying. It has all the lean crisp minerality you expect with a little extra intensity that makes it shine. I'd enjoy this with grilled seabass.
Chateau Puybarbe, Cotes de Bourg 2020, Bordeaux, France - 14.5% ABV
Chateau Puybarbe's signature wine, made only from their best selection of grapes and aged for 16-20 months in oak barrels. Powerful blackberries and black cherries with a hint of spice, oak and bold tannins. It has a silky texture and some balancing acidity that makes it very food friendly. A really fabulous Merlot-dominated Bordeaux. Drinking nicely now, but has the potential to develop over the next 3-5 years.
Champagne Lete-Vautrain, Cote 204 Brut NV, France - 12% ABV
We love working with smaller Champagne producers. You get so much more for your money and this is a superb example. The apple and apricot fruit is bright and fresh. It’s complex and round. Gorgeous stuff.
