Described as Glatzer's "White wine masterpiece", this is a special Gruner Veltliner from the Dornenvogel old vines. Dornenvogel means "Thornbird" and refers to the birds that seek out the ripest grape varieties. This gorgeous, full textured white wine is full of bittersweet grapefruit and lemon, ripe pear, apricot, mint and honey. It's lightly smoky, dry and rounded on the finish. We think you'll love it!

Walter Glatzer began producing wine in 1987 as they first opened the gates to their then 5.4 hectares large vineyard in Carnuntum, the famous wine-growing region east of Vienna. Following in the footsteps of the ancient Romans who prized its perfect climate for wine production, through the years their ambitions grew. So much so that nowadays 250,000 bottles of Glatzer wine annually set out on journeys around the globe.
Walter Glatzer is regarded as the driving engine of the wine region Carnuntum. His red wines – foremost the Zweigelt Dornenvogel – are arguably one of the best in Austria regarding pricing and quality.
