Get to know: Zacharias Ambelos Phos White
Tasting Note
Here’s a wine to make you think of summer holidays. This Greek blend ofMoschofilero and Roditis Fox from the Peloponnese has intense and ripe aromas on the nose with distinctive lemon, melon and rose petal notes. Refreshingly dry on the palate, with well-balanced, vibrant acidity, medium body and a sense of minerality.
Try with feta cheese salads or a Greek fish bake.
Producer Info
Zacharias Vineyards was founded by Elias Zachariasin 1974 and relies on tradition as well as a high level of scientific expertise. Their vision is to move the local varietals –especially the Aghiorgitiko and the Sklava- to the forefront of both the Greek and the international winemaking scene; to create wines which are accessible and great value, while also respecting the environment. The oldest part of their vineyards is found in the Tsintari location, in Nemea.
The fruit for these wines comes from selected vineyards in Mantineia, Corinthia and Argolis. The grapes are manually harvested and fermented seperately in stainless steel before blending.
