Waterford's Single Farm Origin Series is a range of limited edition whiskies that explore Irish teireoir using barley from one farm at a time. Hook Head 1:1 is the first release from the 2015 Hook Head Farm harvest with Barley grown in extreme maritime conditions, creating a unique flavour profile. Made entirely from Irish 'Propino' malted barley grown by Martin Foley. The whiksy was then aged for 3 years and 8 months in multiple cask types including first-fill, virgin US and French oak.
The resulting whisky is rich and has notes of salted caramel, citrus peel, cloves, white pepper, ginger biscuits, earthy maltiness and a touch of salted popcorn. The finish is long and textured.
