This is a great little rose wine discovery from the unlikely source of North Macedonia. On the nose, you'll pick up fresh aromas of juicy red fruits, a hint of delicate flowers, and some subtle herbal undertones. When you take a sip, it has a medium body with just the right amount of acidity to keep things lively, finishing with a long, smooth aftertaste that leaves you wanting more. It's a wine that strikes a nice balance—refreshing, flavorful, and perfect for easy sipping.

This lovely, elegant rose has a real Mediterranean charm. If you like a Provencal style, you'll find lots to enjoy her accompanied by a little savoury spice that sets this apart and makes it very moreish. I'd enjoy this with a tomato and feta salad or grilled salmon.
Voyatzi Estate sits at the base of the Pieria Mountains, near Lake Polyfytos in Velvento, Western Macedonia. In the early '90s, Yannis, a Bordeaux-trained winemaker, teamed up with his engineer brother Nico and their father Harissis to create a modern 12-hectare vineyard. At 340 meters above sea level, the vineyard enjoys a special microclimate by the lake, which balances temperature and humidity—perfect for growing native Greek grapes. From the start, the family has followed organic farming principles, focusing on crafting high-quality wines with real character. They grow Assyrtiko, Xinomavro, and Tsapournakos (a type of Cabernet Franc), along with other local varieties, highlighting the depth and beauty of Greek wine culture.
