Lopez de Heredia, Vina Tondonia Blanco Reserva 2009
One of Spain's most famous white wines when it comes to ageing. Vina Tondonia delivers year after year with it's long barrel ageing, around 6 years, rich nutty texture and dried fruit character this is a really complex white which will continue to develop for years to come.
Lopez de Heredia is up there with the best producers in the world. consistently producing fantastic wines with extended ageing and is still in the hands of the family since it's founding in 1877 by Rafael Lopez de Heredia y Landeta. They have old vines up to 100 years old and are a winery steeped in tradition.
This works really well with meatier fish dishes such as hake or monkfish with a rich parsley sauce.
