Terres Fideles, Montsable Pinot Noir 2024

Get to know: Terres Fidèles Montsablé Pinot Noir

A beautifully expressive French Pinot Noir from cool-climate slopes in southern France.

Tasting Note

Terres Fidèles Montsablé Pinot Noir is a silky, elegant red that captures all the charm of this classic grape. Cherry red in colour, it opens with enticing aromas of dark cherry, blackberry, raspberry, and a touch of violet. On the palate, it’s smooth and medium-bodied, bursting with red summer fruits layered over subtle spice and a gentle toastiness from a whisper of French oak. The finish is long and refined, with a fine balance of freshness and supple tannins – a perfect example of cool-climate Pinot Noir at outstanding value.

Top food pairings:

  • Roast lamb with rosemary and garlic
  • Mushroom bourguignon or chargrilled aubergines
  • Soft, nutty cheeses like Brie de Meaux or Gruyère
Kate Says

"If you love Pinot Noir and are looking for something that is good value but delivers all the classic flavour you want, this is the wine for you. Serve slightly chilled and enjoy the silky texture and subtle depth of flavour with a rustic French duck dish."

Producer Info

Terres Fidèles is a winemaking project rooted in the wild landscapes of southern France. Working closely with small growers, they focus on wines that express their terroir – what the French call l’esprit de lieu. In the Haute Vallée de l’Aude, high-altitude vineyards and limestone soils combine with cool nights to give Pinot Noir exceptional freshness and finesse, making it one of the region’s most exciting red wines.

How it’s made:

  • Varieties: 100% Pinot Noir
  • Harvested from cool, high-altitude vineyards for freshness and elegance
  • Gentle Burgundian-style vinification with light extraction
  • Cool fermentation in stainless steel to preserve delicate aromas
  • Short ageing on fine lees; 10–20% matured for 3 months in French oak for subtle spice and structure

Good to know:

  • Region: Haute Vallée de l’Aude, Languedoc, France
  • Style: Red, still, medium-bodied
  • Closure: Screwcap
  • Vegan: Yes
  • ABV: 13%
  • Vintage: 2024

Why we love it:

This southern French Pinot Noir offers all the hallmark flavours of the grape – ripe cherry, red berries, and subtle spice – at a fraction of the Burgundy price. Elegant, versatile, and great with food, it’s a go-to red for cosy dinners or Sunday roasts.
