Tasting Note

"The 2021 One Point Five is distinguished by lush, intense aromas and flavors of black cherry, crème de cassis, black plum right from the tree, lavender, and savory herbs. Kate Says

"This wine was introduced to Shafer's range in 2007 with an aim to offer Stag's Leap district flavours with easy-to-love tannins. It's this combination of thrilling fruit and lush texture that makes this wine so special."

Producer Info

Blend: 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petite Verdot, 2% Merlot, 1% Malbec

One Point Five is a Cabernet Sauvignon that celebrates two things close to the Shafer Family's hearts. The name refers to John and Doug Shafer’s 35 year father-and-son partnership. It also honors Stags Leap District, a place they've called home since 1973.

Shafer Vineyards has produced classic Napa Valley wines for more than 40 years. The vineyard and cellar teams, led by winemaker Elias Fernandez, cultivate more than 200 acres of Shafer-owned vineyards. The winery has a decades-long commitment to sustainability. Beginning in the 1980s Shafer embraced farming techniques that eliminate insecticides and herbicides, and carefully conserve water resources. In 2004 Shafer became the first winery in the U.S. to go 100% solar.
