Intense orange wine full of tropical fruit flavours, apricots, pithy citrus fruit and dry tannins.
Pol Andsnes was inspired by the quality of skin contact Torrontes being made across Argentina and really felt that this technique was the key to bringing out the potential of the variety. 10 months maceration on skins during ferementation with indigenous yeasts before a further 5 months ageing in old French Oak barrels. Bottled without fining, filtration and a small amount of sulphur at bottling.
Pol reccomends the local speciality of Matambre de cerdo (pork flank steak) marinated in lemon juice and grilled over charcoal.
