Get to know: No Fine Print Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting Note

The is a fine example of the Californian favorite Cabernet Sauvignon. It offers a concentrated yet not overly jammy experience, showcasing a fruit-forward and smooth profile featuring aromas of blackberries, cherries, and spices, complemented by flavors of plums, currants, dried herbs, and toasted oak. It's a pure pleasure wine with no need to decant or fuss about with it. Uncork and enjoy.

Lovely with a bit of roast lamb or how about a grilled vegetable stack layered with aubergine, courgette and green peppers, drizzled with a balsamic glaze.

Kate Says

This is perfect companion for celebrating special occasions. It's robust and rich and really delivers a satisfying pure fruit sensation that anyone can enjoy. Try with a beef stew or a wild mushroom risotto topped with shaved truffles.

Producer Info

No Fine Print is an exciting project from legendary American music veterans Pat Corcoran and Tim Smith. Inspired by a love of restaurants and his experience of Chicago hospitality, Pat travelled to Sonoma, where he formed a relationship with brothers Andrew and Adam Mariani, who manage Scribe Winery.

Pat wanted to create a wine to share with restaurants in his native Chicago and in 2018 his ‘hobby’ started to gain serious traction, with the UK the first to stock their wines outside of their native US in 2022.

Grapes were sourced from central and northern Lodi, where the maritime influence from the Delta gives the region a Mediterranean climate. 85% of the vineyards used are certified sustainable, with a goal of sourcing 100% by 2024. Destemmed and fermented in a mix of large stainless steel vats and roto-fermentors. The grapes were fermented on their skins for 12-20 days before being pressed. Secondary fermentation was completed in tank. One third of the wine was aged in new French oak.
