Moorooduc Estate is a small family run wine business with a philosophy of hands on care in the vineyard, minimal use of chemicals and minimal intervention in the winery to produce amazing food friendly, complex wines that express their own terroir with a gentle nod to Burgundy. 100% destemmed grapes and 100% wild yeast fermentation and natural malolactic fermentation take place in barrel. Aged for 17 months in 100% French oak, 25% of which is new. Pure red cherries, a hint of dark cocoa and a hint of sweet, savoury charcuterie. The tannins are firm and there is more cherry and pomegranate on the palate, the elegant fruit balanced with acidity and a silky, long finish.
