Get to know: MA Arndorfer, Schlehe Amber Orange Wine
Tasting Note
This wine glows with an inviting rich, deep amber colour. On the nose, there’s a burst of ripe golden plums and juicy apricots, with just a hint of something floral in the background. Take a sip, and it’s all about the soft, velvety texture. The finish brings a gentle touch of spice, thanks to time spent on the lees, adding a lovely layer of warmth and complexity. It’s beautifully balanced, with flavours that linger just enough to make you reach for another glass.
Try it with roast duck with an apricot glaze or creamy blue cheeses like stilton.
Kate Says
I love this wine for its balance of ripe fruit and a touch of spice - it’s everything I admire about this producer’s attention to detail. Ideal for a relaxed Sunday lunch.
