A great value Rioja Gran Reserva that really delivers. From vines averaging around 50 years old in the heart of La Rioja this is a big, bold, powerful wine. Aged in a mixture of French and American oak for almost 3 years before further bottle ageing, there's enourmous complexity. Lots of sweet cinnamon and liquorice spices with juicy red cherries and plum compote. It's rich and unctuous with velvety tannins and a creamy vanilla finish. Classically paired with babecued lamb chops but sure to go down a treat with and roasted red meats.
