Big Rhone style blend from the Swartland. A complex mix of concentrated red cherries, ripe dark plums, blackberries and black olives are backed up with good structure and a full body.
This is a fantastic pairing with a hearty stew or hotpot.
Producer Info
Kloovenburg is home to the du Toit family where winemaker Pieter and his charming wife Annalene are hard at working producing delicious wines and olive oils. In 1997, Pieter du Toit, his sons and a few friends made Kloovenburg’s first wine, a Pinotage.
A blend of Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvedre and Carignan, all fermented seperately and aged in old French oak barrels for around 16 months before being blended together and bottled.
