Once nearly lost to history, Malagousia is now celebrated as one of Greece’s most exciting white wines, thanks to its distinct aromas and remarkable versatility. Rescued from extinction in the 1970s by visionary winemaker Vangelis Gerovassiliou, Malagousia has flourished, winning global acclaim for its characterful wines.
Aromatic and vibrant, Malagousia bursts with expressive notes of peach, fresh herbs, exotic fruits, and a delicate hint of green bell pepper. Its round, full-bodied profile is lifted by balanced acidity, bringing freshness with each sip. Expect a bright, medium-pale lemon hue and a delightful blend of white floral and fruit-driven aromas.

Kanakaris is a family winery in the winegrowing zone of Aigialeia in eastern Achaia.
Recently renovated and rebuilt from the ground in the very same place where the family started its winemaking journey back in 1979, the winery now disposes of all of the necessary equipment and space for a completely controlled winemaking process.
Careful selection of Malagouzia grapes in order to come to the winery in the ideal state of maturity and hygiene. Hand-harvested in small crates up to 20 pounds. Prefermentive maceration for 6 hours at a temperature of 8 ° C and subsequent pressing to receive the free-run must. Fermentation at
low temperatures of not more than 15 ° C. Bottled fresh in an inert gas atmosphere.
