Get to know: Istvan Szepsy, Tokaji Furmint 'Hun' 2021
Furmint from Mád in Tokaj - a Hungarian white wine from István Szepsy, whose family has farmed in Mád for generations.
Tasting Note
Fresh and floral, with sliced apple and stone fruit on the nose. The palate has a mineral streak and a lively acidity running through it, and the freshness keeps it moving from start to finish.
Top food pairings:
- Pan-fried trout with lemon and capers
- Courgette and lemon pasta with olive oil and chilli
- Roast chicken with tarragon
