Hattingley Valley, The English Gent 2021

Get to know: Hattingley Valley The English Gent 2021

A characterful and aromatic English sparkling wine made in the traditional method in Hampshire.

Tasting Note

Hattingley Valley The English Gent 2021 is a crisp, dry and wonderfully aromatic sparkling wine that proudly does things a little differently. Delicate pale lemon in colour with a fine, persistent mousse, it opens with fragrant aromas of blossom and white meadow flowers. On the palate, zesty grapefruit and orange peel lead into white stone fruit, finishing with a subtly sweet note of golden apple. Bright, well-balanced acidity keeps everything fresh and lively, giving this English sparkling wine real energy and drinkability, with a long, refreshing finish.

Top food pairings:

  • Classic British roast chicken with herbs
  • Smoked salmon or trout with lemon
  • Light vegetarian dishes such as spring vegetable risotto
Kate Says

"This is English sparkling with personality. I love how British it feels – aromatic, fresh and a bit of a rule-breaker. It’s the bottle I’d open for a relaxed Sunday roast or when you want something special without it feeling too formal."
