Hans Herzog Nebbiolo 2018

Get to know: Hans Herzog Nebbiolo 2018

Tasting Note

A wine that’s both elegant and full of character, Hans Herzog Nebbiolo 2018 entices with heady aromas of violet, rose, ripe red berries, and a hint of warming spices. On the palate, it’s a smooth and juicy affair with layers of succulent red cherry, raspberry compote, and wild herbs, balanced by subtle notes of licorice and polished tannins. Its youthful charm makes it accessible now, but with a decade or more of aging, it promises to develop even greater complexity, rivalling the finest Italian Nebbiolos.

Try this with beef tenderloin, braised lamb, creamy, fatty cheeses like brie, full-fat feta, or Parmigiano Reggiano.

Kate Says

“This is one of those wines that stops you in your tracks. It’s floral, fruity, and just the right amount of spicy—like a walk through a sunlit herb garden. Perfect with a rich risotto or slow-cooked lamb. And while it’s brilliant now, I’d tuck a bottle away for a special occasion in a few years’ time. Definitely  worth the wait!”
