Tasting Note

Blackcurrant jam and dark chocolate lead on the nose, with nutmeg and a little fig sitting behind. The palate has real weight to it: Black Forest gâteau, woody spice, toffee apple, vanilla custard and cinnamon all layering on top of each other. It's an oily, generous texture, built for slow sipping rather than a quick dram. The finish is rich and well spiced, holding its shape long after the glass is empty. If you like your whisky leaning towards the fruity, spiced end of the spectrum, this is worth having a proper sit-down with.
