A striking and powerful Australian Shiraz from the famed sub-region of Marananga in the Barossa Valley.
Tasting Note
Eisenstone Roennfeldt Vineyard SV904 Shiraz 2019 is a bold, full-bodied red that shows off the richness and depth the Barossa is renowned for. Deep and intense in colour with aromas of forest berries, blackcurrant, and subtle spice lifted by the warmth of French oak. On the palate, it’s concentrated and structured, delivering layers of dark fruit, cassis, and chocolatey richness supported by firm, age-worthy tannins. It finishes long, dense, and beautifully shaped, with the hallmark power of premium Marananga Shiraz. A superb expression of Barossa Valley Shiraz at its most compelling.
Top food pairings:
- Sunday roast beef with all the trimmings
- BBQ ribeye or chargrilled lamb
- Rich stews and slow-cooked beef dishes
Kate Says
"This is Barossa Shiraz dialled right up – intense, ripe, and full of character. The depth you get from Marananga really shines here. It’s one for special dinners or when you want a bottle that properly impresses."
Producer Info
Eisenstone is a unique, small-batch project created by winemaker Stephen Cook, celebrating the German heritage and ironstone-rich soils of the Barossa Valley. Each wine in the range comes from a single, carefully selected vineyard parcel, with no more than 800 bottles produced per vintage – each individually numbered. By sourcing fruit from the western ranges, Stephen highlights the subtle differences in soil and microclimate that shape the character of premium Shiraz, creating wines of power, purity, and exceptional ageing potential.
How it’s made:
- Varieties: 100% Shiraz
- Grapes sourced from Roennfeldt Road in the Marananga sub-region of the Barossa Valley
- Fermented in small parcels for maximum site expression
- Matured for 18 months in 50% new French oak for structure and depth
