Get to know: Domaine Lebrun Pouilly-Fumé Cuvee Eugenie 2020
A more complex, long-lived Sauvignon from the classic Loire appellation.
Tasting Note
Domaine Lebrun Pouilly-Fumé Eugenie 2020 comes from Laurent's best parcels and is aged in large wooden vats, giving the wine more length and complexity. The vineyards of Pouilly-fumé are typically flinty-clay based as opposed to Sancerre's limestone. The resulting wine tend to come with more aromatic depth and texture compared to the mineral tension of Sancerre. This very special wine is showing a side of the Loire we don't often see and it's well worth the experience.

Nic Says
"If you want to branch out a little from your typical Loire Sauvignon and go on a great ride, this is the one to pick. I reckon a chicken supreme or some creamy linguine alla vongole would make this wine shine."
Producer Info
Domaine Lebrun is a family estate based in the heart of Pouilly-Fumé, now run by winemaker Laurent Lebrun. Having trained in Montpellier and honed his craft in Australia and Bordeaux, Laurent returned home to revitalise his family’s 9 hectares of vines on the slopes of St. Andelain. The estate is known for producing precise, expressive Sauvignon Blanc wines that capture the purity of fruit and the flinty minerality of the Loire’s limestone-rich soils.
How it’s made:
- Variety: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
- Harvested by parcel to ensure optimal ripeness and freshness
- Grapes gently pressed to retain delicate aromatics

Why we love it:
This Loire Sauvignon Blanc delivers the perfect balance of citrus freshness, flinty minerality, and elegant structure. A benchmark Pouilly-Fumé, it’s as at home with a seafood dinner as it is enjoyed on its own – the kind of wine that always feels like a special occasion in the glass.
