Dom. Sylvain Dussort, Meursault Le Limozin 2022

Get to know: Domaine Sylvain Dussort, Meursault Le Limozin 2022

Tasting Note

A stunning expression of Meursault, Le Limozin 2022 showcases the elegance and richness of this famed appellation. Expect aromas of ripe orchard fruits - apple, pear, and a touch of citrus zest—layered with subtle notes of almond, vanilla, and a hint of toast from oak aging. On the palate, it’s beautifully balanced, with vibrant acidity supporting a creamy texture and a long, mineral-driven finish. While approachable now, this wine will continue to develop greater depth over the next 5–8 years.

Try this with grilled fish in an almond butter, seared scallops in béchamel sauce, aged, salty, or nutty cheeses or Bresse chicken.

Kate Says

“Le Limozin is always a showstopper for me, and the 2022 vintage doesn’t disappoint. It’s all about finesse - ripe fruit, a silky texture, and that hallmark Meursault minerality. Perfect for a special dinner, especially with buttery seafood dishes. If you’ve got the patience, lay it down for a few years - it’ll reward you!”

Producer Info

Domaine Sylvain Dussort is a family-run winery in the heart of Meursault, Burgundy. Sylvain took the reins in 1982, growing the estate to its current 6.5 hectares while maintaining a steadfast focus on quality and tradition.

The domaine practices lutte raisonnée (sustainable viticulture), ensuring the health of the vines and the environment. Grapes are hand-harvested, fermented with indigenous yeasts, and aged on lees for 12–18 months to enhance complexity and texture. Minimal intervention in the winery allows the unique terroir of Meursault to shine through in every bottle.
