A serious wine, with great concentration and power from a warmer vintage. Lots of ripe fruit, concentrated tannins and an earthy undertone. A fine wine which can be enjoyed young but will benefit from time in the cellar.

Gilles Remoriquet is not a winemaker who rests on his laurels, forever looking for ways to improve his wines. Most recently he has been to the Jura to see a specialist about selecting the right blend of manure and has bought a second sorting table which eliminates under-ripe berries by flotation. The attention to detail flows right the way through from his vineyards to the winery. In this case his Vosne-Romannee 1er Cru au Dessous des Malconsorts vineyards are located next door to the world renowned 'La Tache'
