Get to know: Dea del Mare Vino Bianco NV
A pale gold Italian white wine blending Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay, made for easy, everyday drinking.
Tasting Note
Pale gold in the glass, with ripe citrus and tropical fruit leading the way, and a whisper of wild herbs running underneath to keep it interesting. The palate is soft and rounded, with lively fruit carrying through to a clean, mineral-driven finish. Dry and properly refreshing, it rewards a good chill - 8–10°C brings out the best of it. Pour it solo on a warm evening or alongside food; either way it goes down easily.
Top food pairings:
- Seafood pasta
- Chicken salad
- Grilled courgettes
Kate Says
"We love this one for how easy it is - Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay blended together, chilled right down, and it's ready to go with pretty much anything you're eating. Lovely by itself too, out in the garden of an evening."
Producer Info
The Wine People work with growers across Italy's diverse wine regions, with sustainability and organic farming at the heart of what they do. Their focus on environmental and social responsibility runs through the vineyards they partner with, shaping wines with real character from vine to bottle.
How it's made:
- Varieties: Pinot Grigio and Chardonnay
- Grapes destemmed and very gently pressed in a pneumatic press
- Juice chilled before fermentation to allow natural sedimentation
- After racking, selected yeasts start fermentation at a constant 18°C in stainless steel tanks for 10–15 days
- No extended maturation stage, keeping the fruit fresh and youthful
