Get to know: Conceito, Branco
Tasting Note
Green apple, honeysuckle, lime, lemon on the nose. Dry and intense on a medium-bodied palate with flavours of lime, straw, lemon peel and some lees ageing complexity. Very well balanced and showing development. This is a layered and multi-textured wine with a good length on the finish.
Try this with shellfish.
Producer Info
A blend of 10 different traditional Portuguese varieties including Rabigato, Codega do Larinho, Codega and others. The vines are grown on granite soils from a special block of a very old pre-phylloxera vineyard. Fermented in French oak barrels with regular batonnage to develop texture. A really classy wine, with vibrant ripe fruit and great complexity.
