Nose of jammy red fruit with a good freshness. The palate is silky, wellbalanced with delicate tannins. The finish is pleasant with a touch of liquorice. Serve at 17-18°C with grilled beef fillet, rack of lamb, terrine or cheese.Â
The Martin family has been based in Saint-Julien for more than three centuries and has engaged in various different professions all with links to viticulture (farmers, cellar masters, managers, coopers), whilst at the same time owning a little vineyard known by the name of Château Haut-Beychevelle Gloria. This cru, which is considered to be the family's historic property and crown jewel, was the original source of Henri Martin's passion for wine.
