Presented in a striking Attitude Decanter. This is aged for over 20 years in red Limousin oak casks and then in ‘old’ barrels, and is made from a series of eaux-de-vie from the Petite Champagne terroir. Elegant, floral, fine and original, with impressive complexity. Aromas of candied fruit (apricot, prune, peach, apple) mixed with a note of honey, cocoa. The texture is full, mellow and silky leading to a refreshing finish with a warming spiciness that goes on an on. Taste at 20°C, to appreciate its suppleness, finesse and complexity.

Château de Montifaud is very much a family enterprise with Michel and Catherine Vallet, their son Laurent and his wife Elodie all involved. This is lovely, unadulterated pure, fine, perfumed cognac. A family domaine and distillery. 125 hectares of vineyard in the heart of the Archiac where the Grande and Petite Champagne meet, much sought after by the larger Houses.
On the strength of this exceptional terroir, they work daily to ensure that their vineyard is managed in a sustainable manner. They make it a point of honour to apply the artisanal techniques passed down from father to son while combining the new technologies of today, allowing them to accentuate the natural qualities of the "eaux-de-vie": floral notes, finesse and elegance on the nose, roundness, suppleness and length in the mouth.
