Ca dei Maghi Valpolicella Classico Vigna Ca dei Maghi 2024

Get to know: Ca dei Maghi Valpolicella Classico Vigna Ca dei Maghi 2024

A beautifully expressive Italian red wine from a single vineyard site in the heart of Valpolicella Classico.

Tasting Note

Ca dei Maghi Valpolicella Classico Vigna Ca dei Maghi is uses the same winemaking approach as the standard Valpolicella Classico (young fruit, stainless steel) to showcase a the fuirt of a single, special vineyard. Ruby red in colour with lifted aromas of wild blackthorn, sour cherry, cracked black pepper, cinnamon, and a touch of star anise. On the palate, the classic blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara gives juicy red berry fruit, gentle spice, and a lively freshness, all wrapped in a supple, light-bodied texture. Aged entirely in stainless steel, this Valpolicella Classico finishes bright, savoury, and effortlessly drinkable. A wonderfully pure expression of traditional Veneto winemaking.

Top food pairings:

  • Mushroom and pancetta risotto
  • Classic margherita pizza or charcuterie boards
  • Herb-roasted pork with rosemary and garlic
Kate Says

"This is a delicious and fascinating wine. Try this alongside the regular Valpolicella and it amazing what a difference the single site focus makes on the finished wine. It is the kind of red I always want around the house – fresh, spicy, and ridiculously easy to enjoy. It’s got that lovely Italian knack of feeling comforting and vibrant at the same time."

Producer Info

Cà dei Maghi is a small, family-run estate nestled amongst the rolling hills of Valpolicella Classico near the village of Fumane. The winery’s roots stretch back generations, with the Fasoli Fedrigo family producing wine in the area since the 1800s. Today, Paolo Creazzi leads the new generation, focusing on crafting distinctive wines that express the individuality of each vineyard site. The Vigna Ca dei Maghi bottling comes from the recognised Monte Santoccio cru, a vineyard prized for producing wines with freshness, spice, and remarkable character.

How it’s made:

  • Varieties: Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Molinara
  • Produced from a single cru vineyard in Monte Santoccio within Valpolicella Classico
