Ca dei Frati, Lugana I Frati 2025

Get to know: Ca' dei Frati I Frati Lugana 2025

An outstanding Italian white wine from the glacial vineyards of Lugana on the southern shores of Lake Garda.

Tasting Note

Honeysuckle and ripe apricot lead the way, followed by hints of gentle spice and candied citrus that keep drawing you back for another smell. Pale yellow in the glass, it feels bright and inviting from the very first pour. The palate has impressive depth, balancing generous stone fruit with lively freshness and a distinctive saline streak that reflects its lakeside origins. Time on the lees adds a rounded texture while preserving the wine's vibrant energy. The finish is long, crisp and beautifully poised, leaving a clean, mouthwatering impression.

Top food pairings:

  • Grilled Lake Garda fish or lemon sole
  • Seafood linguine or creamy prawn risotto
  • Burrata with ripe tomatoes and fresh basil
Kate Says

"This is one of those whites I keep coming back to because it always seems to suit the occasion. Pop the cork before dinner and don't be surprised if the bottle quietly disappears before the evening's over."

Producer Info

Ca' dei Frati has become one of Lugana's benchmark producers, with the Dal Cero family expanding the estate from just 12 hectares to more than 200 while never losing sight of quality. How it's made:

Why we love it:
