Tasting Note

A very aromatic rosé with good intensity and complexity delivering aromas of cherry, watermelon and raspberry with hints of apricot and tropical notes against a background of orange and elderberry blossom. The palate has good concentration and fresh acidity with an elegant texture carrying the fruit flavours to a refreshing and spicy finish. This is a serious wine that is great fun to enjoy and very food friendly.

Try this with a range of food from charcuterie and cheeses to a wide variety of pastas and rice dishes. Also, very nice with fish and for grilled chicken or pork but nothing overly spicy.

"Golden pink. Very slightly spicy, stone-fruit aromas. Plump with nectarine and ripe apricot fruit while the bracing cut of blood-orange is vivacious and quenching – all funnelling into a wonderfully intricate, liquorice-and-fennel finish. Bold, extrovert but pretty serious wine. It proved to be a great pair with whole salt-roasted celeriac in a red-pepper-based romesco sauce."

In 2019 a group of curious entrepreneurs launched BORN ROSÉ Barcelona. A special rosé, born in a special city, with the aim of being a reflection and inspiration of a lifestyle. Barcelona, its light and its open character. Barcelona is not just a place, it's a state of mind.

Made from Grenache grapes, selected from the Terra Alta (south of Catalonia), where it is able to adapt and express all its natural potential and character. All the grapes come from selected and organic vineyards. It works with cold film maceration to extract aromas and color, gently pressing for a maximum of 50% yield. The must ferments at a controlled temperature and partially in barrels, which allows them to enhance the essence of the variety and give complexity to the aromatic expression.

Ideal serving temperature 6-8ºC
