Get to know: Bodega Agerre, Txakoli
Tasting Note
Bright and fresh this zingy white from the Basque country in northern Spain is perfect for anyone who enjoys Vinho Verde from Portugal. Lots of green apple and lemon citrus with a sea-salty spritz and refreshing finish.
Produced just down the road from San Sebastian it's no surprise that this wine works wonders with food, try this with fresh seafood, it's great if you can get your hands on sashimi grade fish and have a sushi night.
Producer Info
Bodegas Agerre is a small estate overlooking the Bay of Biscay, made with 20-30 year old vines. Thanks to the cooling Atlantic breeze and stainless steel fermentation the wine retains all that fresh fruit and mouth watering acidity.
Made from 100% whole bunch pressed Hondarrabi Zuri. On arrival to the winery, the grapes were pressed at low pressure. The free run juice was fermented on lees in stainless-steel drums at controlled temperatures of 8-9°C.
