A fabulous, untypical example of this Austrian grape from the bright minds of Alpha, Box & Dice. Using fruit sourced from a single vineyard, this has flavours of almond, marzipan and quince. The palate is all about texture and generosity. It's bursting with fruit, balanced by a cleansing acidity delivering a wine that is approachable yet incredibly complex at the same time, showing layer on layer of curious Gruner characteristics.

The Adelaide Hills is fast becoming synonymous with producing high quality Gruner Veltliner. Alpha, Box & Dice have taken this one step further and focused on two individual vineyard expressions of this sophisticated variety. The warmer of the two sites, the Springhill vineyard in Macclesfield has a slightly lower elevation that is expressed in more overt characters and a richer, fuller weight that's enhanced by an element of skin fermentation and oak maturation.
