Mora & Memo, Tino Vermentino Di Sardegna 2025

Get to know: Tino, Vermentino di Sardegna

A vibrant Italian white wine from the sun-soaked hills of south-eastern Sardinia.

Tasting Note

Rosemary, thyme and sage greet you on the now - a lovely bit of Mediterranean hillside in the glass. Pale straw with a green tint, bright and brilliant to look at. Ripe orchard fruit sits underneath all that herbal aromatics, running into a juicy, well-balanced palate and a finish that stays lingers right to till your next sip. Herby, fruity and completely individual - this one doesn't taste like every other Vermentino on the shelf.

Top food pairings:

  • Grilled swordfish with lemon and herbs
  • Linguine with courgette, garlic and chilli
  • Delicate roast chicken with a light herb sauce
Kate Says

"This one's a genuine favourite with the team and our customers - that herby, rosemary-and-thyme character sets it apart from most of the Italian wine we stock. It's organic, made with a really gentle touch, and it makes me feel like I'm somewhere warmer the second I pour a glass. Chill it down and see what I mean."

Producer Info

Mora & Memo farms high in the hills of south-eastern Sardinia, just a few kilometres from the sea, growing the island's own Cannonau and Vermentino. The estate is now run by mother-and-daughter team Alicia and Lia Tolaini, who work old vineyards organically with a light touch in the winery to make wines that speak clearly of their island terroir. Even the labels carry that story - designed by Sardinian artist Katia Marcias, with themes celebrating Sardinia's strong matriarchal traditions.

How it's made:

  • Varieties: Vermentino 100%
  • Grown on vines averaging 30 years old, on south/south-east-facing limestone and clay hillsides around 200m above sea level
  • Brief skin contact after cleaning, before pressing
  • Fermented in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts at a constant 15°C
  • Aged on its lees for a few months, then rests in bottle before release
  • No oak ageing

Good to know:

  • Region: Vermentino di Sardegna DOC, Sardinia, Italy
  • Style: White, still wine
  • Closure: Glass closure
  • Vegan: Yes
  • ABV: 13%
  • Vintage: 2025

Why we love it:

Herby, fruity and completely individual, this Italian white wine from Sardinia has become one of our most-loved bottles - team and customers alike keep coming back for it. Pour it with seafood, pasta or on its own on a warm evening, and it's easy to see why.
