Get to know: Francesc Ricart Cava Brut
Tasting Note
Francesc Ricart Cava Brut NV is a bright and elegant Spanish sparkling wine with crisp apple, zesty lemon, and a touch of almond on the nose. On the palate, it’s clean, dry and refreshingly lively with fine bubbles and a creamy mousse. Balanced citrus and green orchard fruit give way to a lightly toasted, biscuity finish.
- Grilled asparagus and lemon risotto
- Tempura prawns or crispy calamari
- Manchego or mild goat’s cheese
A cracking alternative to Prosecco or Champagne – perfect for weekend fizz, brunch, or celebratory toasts.
Kate Says
"One of our favourite sparkling wines, this cava has a brilliant balance of aromatic peach and citrus fruit with the delicate honey and rich toasty depth that gives it a moreish drinkability. Great as a gift, to toast any celebration or maybe pair with a slice of spanish tortilla."
Producer Info
Made in the heart of Spain’s Cava country, Francesc Ricart is produced by a family-run house in Sant Sadurní d’Anoia, just outside Barcelona – the spiritual home of Cava.
This wine is made using the traditional method (the same as Champagne), giving it its fine mousse and biscuity complexity. Aged for a minimum of 12 months on the lees, it develops texture and character without losing that zippy freshness.
