Get to know: Francesc Ricart, Cava Brut
Tasting Note
We don’t sell many Cava’s so you can be sure when we do it’s a good one. This is fresh, balanced and fruity. There’s aromas of flowers and honey mingling with white peach and gentle bready notes. Elegant with opulent flavours of white peach, and citrus with a refreshing finish. A perfectly poised balance makes this one a pleasure to enjoy with every sip.
Try with a selection of tapas.
Kate Says
"One of our favourite sparkling wines, this cava has a brilliant balance of aromatic peach and citrus fruit with the delicate honey and rich toasty depth that gives it a moreish drinkability. Great as a gift, to toast any celebration or maybe pair with a slice of spanish tortilla."
Producer Info
The Francesc Ricart Cava wines are made from grapes sourced in Penedés from vineyards 250m above sea level. The Cava Brut is made using the traditional Champagne method, undergoing 14 months of bottle ageing after fermentation. This process preserves its freshness while adding bready, nutty, and biscuity notes from extended contact with the lees (yeast). It is crafted from a carefully selected blend of Xarel-lo, Macabeo, and Parellada - grape varieties native to the region—through a meticulous production process.
