Get to know: Borsao Rosado
Tasting Note
Borsao Rosado 2023 is a bright, fruit-packed Spanish rosé made from 100% Garnacha. It’s bursting with juicy strawberry, raspberry and a touch of grapefruit, balanced by fresh acidity and a soft, creamy texture.
Try this with grilled halloumi and peppers, chicken and chorizo skewers, or a wedge of Taleggio cheese.
Kate Says
"Borsao Rosado is what I reach for when I want a no-fuss, proper tasty rosé. It’s got bags of flavour, goes with loads of food, and won’t break the bank. A fridge-door favourite."
Producer Info
Bodegas Borsao is a co-operative in Campo de Borja, northeast Spain, known for championing Garnacha. Founded in 1958 and relaunched in 2001, it brings together over 375 growers working across 2,400 hectares. Many of their vineyards are high up in the foothills of the Moncayo mountains, where warm days and cool nights help build bright fruit and balanced acidity.
The Garnacha for this rosé comes from dry-farmed vines, some bush-trained, growing in stony soils. The grapes are cold-soaked for six hours to extract colour, then fermented in stainless steel at a cool 17°C to keep all that fresh berry character.
