Judith Beck, Pink 2024

Get to know: Judith Beck, Pink

A dry, refreshing rosé offering a bright, natural expression of Austria’s native grapes.

Tasting Note

Light Austrian rose from native varieties Zweigelt and Blaufrankisch from renowned producer Judith Beck. Dominated by red cherries, raspberries and light peaches, it's refreshing and dry with great acidity and a hint of spice on the finish.

Top food pairings:

  • Grilled halloumi with watermelon and mint
  • Smoked salmon bagels or grilled prawns
  • Cheese: creamy goat’s cheese or a wedge of young Comté
Kate Says

"This isn’t your average rosé - it’s fresh, a bit earthy, and full of proper red cherry flavour. Brilliant on its own or with picky bits. A glass that’s easy, tasty, and full of charm."

Producer Info

Judith Beck is one of the stars of Austria’s natural wine movement. Based in Gols, Burgenland, she farms her vineyards biodynamically, encouraging biodiversity and working with nature rather than against it. Her approach is all about letting the grapes and soil speak, with minimal intervention in the cellar.

Pink is a blend of Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch – two native red grapes that give the wine its vivid fruit and juicy acidity. The grapes are hand-picked and gently pressed to extract just the right amount of colour. Fermentation is spontaneous with native yeasts, and the wine is bottled unfiltered with minimal sulphur.

How it’s made:

  • Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch from biodynamic vineyards
  • Hand-harvested and gently pressed for a delicate pink hue
  • Spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts
  • Unfiltered and bottled with minimal sulphur
