Domaine Gayda, La Minuette Rose 2024

Get to know: Domaine Gayda, La Minuette Rose 2024

A classy organic Languedoc rosé with a soft Provençal style - pale, delicate and ever-so-moreish.

Tasting Note

A classy organic Languedoc rosé with a soft Provençal style and real elegance. Pale pink in the glass, leading with delicate floral and citrus notes — raspberry, grapefruit, redcurrant and a hint of cherry blossom. On the palate, wild strawberry and fresh clementine, with just a touch of orange zest lifting the finish. Dry, fine, and ever-so-moreish, thanks to bright acidity and a soft, supple texture. A brilliant pick for warm weather and laid-back evenings - French rosé that holds its own on the table without taking itself too seriously.

Top food pairings:

  • Grilled peach and rocket salad with toasted almonds
  • Seared tuna with sesame and lime
  • Young goats’ cheese
Kate Says

“La Minuette is one of those wines that just feels effortless. It’s delicate and pretty but not at all flimsy - there’s a quiet confidence to it. I’d bring this out for a sunny lunch or just to lift a midweek tea. It’s the kind of rosé that makes you pause for a second.”

Producer Info

Domaine Gayda sits in Brugairolles near Carcassonne and has a particularly long history — founded in 1749 as a coaching inn, the farm buildings were gradually transformed into the estate that exists today. In 2004, under owners Tim Ford and Anthony Record with talented winemaker Vincent Chansault, the property modernised significantly and refocused on quality-driven Languedoc wines. Today Gayda is known for organic farming, careful viticulture, and bottles that deliver well above their price point.

How it’s made:

  • Varieties: 60% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah, 15% Grenache, 10% Cinsault
  • Partly hand harvested in crates with the remainder machine harvested to balance quality and freshness
  • Direct pressing to preserve the wine’s pale colour and delicate aromatics
  • Sulphur-free fermentation between 14°C and 18°C for purity and precision
  • Aged on fine lees for 3 months to add texture and complexity

Good to know:

  • Region: Pays d’Oc, Languedoc, France
  • Style: Rosé, still, dry and elegant
  • Closure: Cork
  • Vegan: Yes
  • ABV: 13%
  • Vintage: 2024

Why we love it:

The Languedoc has quietly become one of France’s best regions for properly serious rosé at a fair price - and Gayda is one of the producers making the case. La Minuette is delicate, organic, properly dry, with the kind of confident lightness that’s harder to make than it looks. Brilliant year-round.
