Blind Tasting at Home - Feeling Fancy?

Get to Know: Blind Tasting at Home - Feeling Fancy? | Premium Red Wines for Spring 2026

The original blind-tasting kit, levelled up - three serious red wines for confident tasters who like a quality drop.

Description

This is the premium version of the kit our customers keep coming back for. We’ve taken the same blind-tasting format - three full-size 75cl bottles wrapped in plain paper, numbered tags, QR-code tasting cards - and gone hunting for reds with more to say. Expect bottles with proper backbone: velvety dark fruit one minute, savoury herb and earthy complexity the next, plus a curve-ball or two designed to challenge even the people in the room who reckon they’ve got wine sussed. As of Spring 2026 the selection has just been refreshed, so previous tasters get a brand-new line-up.

Why they’ll love it

  • Three premium reds with real personality
  • Refreshed Spring 2026 wine selection so it’s never a repeat
  • Makes an unusually thoughtful gift for the wine-loving friend
  • Same simple format as our original kit - no special kit, no jargon
Kate Says

“This was the version we made for the customers who’d played the original kit and wanted to try it with a more premium line-up. The bottles in here are more refined with more depth - they’re wines that reward proper attention. If you’ve got someone in your life who reads wine columns and rates their own palate, this is the present you want.”

What’s inside
  • 3 × full-size (75cl) bottles of red wine
    • Concealed in wrapping to keep the labels secret
    • ABVs: 13%, 14.5%, and 14.5%
    • Wine selection last updated: 06/03/26
  • 1 × set of bottle neck tags - number the wines any way you like
  • 2 × info cards with QR codes - tasting instructions, tasting notes with region and grape clues, and tie-breakers

You’ll also want: a phone, a few wine glasses, pencil and paper, water, and a generous charcuterie board. Aged salami, coppa and a punchy manchego work brilliantly; so does a slow-cooked lamb shoulder, or a mushroom and thyme tart for the vegetarians.

Why we love it

The original blind-tasting kit is a brilliant gateway. This one is the upgrade for people who’ve already walked through. The bottles in here have layers - dark fruit, savoury herb, earthy depth - and they’re best enjoyed alongside proper food and a long evening with no schedule to keep. It’s the version we’d buy for ourselves.
