A juicy, easy-going red from the southern Rhône.
The modern typography label gives you a clue that this is not a typical Rhone blend. This uses Grenache, Syrah, Caladoc and Marselan from Vaucluse to create a wine packed with red fruits, and just a hint of spice. This is bolder and fruitier than you'd expect, giving a lot of generous blackcurrant and cherry fruit with a small hint of white pepper and eucalyptus and hint of tobacco and black pepper. There's a fresh acidity too making it very food friendly.
Top food pairings:
"This is a very charming red from a top producer of Gigondas in France's Rhone Valley. It's been a big staff favourite as we've all fallen for its ripe fruit and generous character. If you like bold and spicy wines, give this a go with some slow cooked lamb."
Domaine Burle is a family-run estate based in Gigondas, with a focus on traditional methods and minimal intervention. The Burle brothers – passionate and hands-on – make wines that reflect the character of their region and their own down-to-earth style. “Est-ce Que” is their Vin de Pays Vaucluse blend, crafted from Grenache and Syrah grown just outside the more famous appellations, allowing for a more playful approach.
“Est-ce Que” is Rhône red without the fuss – fresh, fruity, and utterly drinkable. Whether it’s for a Friday night pizza or a lazy Sunday lunch, this is a bottle that brings sunshine and smiles to the table.
