Spanish Heaven Mixed Case (FREE Delivery on this case)

Get to know: Spanish Heaven Mixed Case

Description

FREE Delivery on this case.

Spanish wine is wonderfully varied and alive with character. This case brings six wines that offer a chance to try the classic styles the country is know for such as the oak-aged red of Rioja, and the sublime sparkling wine of Cava, as well as the rising stars and undiscovered gems like Albarino in Galicia and the wines of Jumilla. The are great wines to try with a range of tapas plates or simply enjoy with a nibble of Parma ham and olives. If you're looking to explore the wines of Spain, this is the case for you.

Kate Says

"If you love Rioja and want to discover more about Spanish wine, this is the case for you. A journey in wine taking in some classics and showcasing our favourites that keep us coming back for more."

What's in it?

Francesc Ricart, Cava Brut NV, 11.5% Catalunya

One of our favourite sparkling wines, this cava has a brilliant balance of  aromatic peach and citrus fruit with the delicate honey and rich toasty depth that gives it a moreish drinkability. Great as a gift, to toast any celebration or maybe pair with a slice of Spanish tortilla.

Granbazan, Etiqueta Ambar Albarino, 12.5% Rias Baixas

We love Albariño, and this is a superb example from the grape's heartland of Rias Baixas in north-west Spain. It captures the pure, concentrated fruit and lip-smacking freshness that makes this grape so appealing. I'd enjoy it with a plate garlicky langoustines.

Caserio de Duenas Rueda Blanco, 13.5% Rueda

This is not quite what you’d expect from a Rueda Vedejo-based wine. It’s got a bit of lees ageing adding weight/creaminess to the deal. There’s still plenty of zest with citrus and grapefruit notes but it’s on the richer side. Deliciously different.

Can' Leandro, La Lloma, 13.5%, Valencia

I love trying regional specialties and this blend of Bonicaire and Monastrell grapes is a real taste of Valencia. The wine is a juicy drop of berry fruits that is lighter and fresh like a Pinot noir with the extra fruitiness of a Merlot.

Bodegas Palacio, Glorioso Reserva, 14% Rioja

This delicious Rioja Reserva was a big customer favourite at our inaugural focus group tasting. It is easy to see why with generous fruit and well-balanced oak giving complexity and a silky texture. I'd enjoy this simply with some grilled lamb chops.

Alceno, Organic Monastrell, 14% Jumilla

If you like bold, fruity reds like Malbec, this is for you. Monastrell is the Spanish name for Mourvedre and this grape thrives in the hot climate of Jumilla developing big ripe flavours that will really satisfy.
