One of the black grapes of Valpolicella, here given the chance to stand in the starring role. The fruit is from 25 year old vines which gives it a bit of extra concentration. There's aromas of ripe red and black cherry, a touch of vanilla and a little earthy spice. The aromas follow on to the soft textured palate leading to a finish is gently spicy with a little lingering sweetness and balancing acidity.
Ideal with salty or spicy seasonings on grilled meats.
