Get to know: Dom. Moingeon, Puligny-Montrachet Le Trézin 2024

A refined Burgundy white wine from the upper slopes of Puligny-Montrachet, capturing the appellation’s signature precision and mineral drive.

Tasting Note

Dom. Moingeon Puligny-Montrachet Le Trézin 2024 is an elegant, cool-climate Chardonnay that leans into freshness, finesse, and terroir expression rather than overt richness. Pale lemon in colour with lifted aromas of citrus blossom, green apple, lime peel, and wet stone, supported by subtle notes of white peach and fresh hazelnut. On the palate, this Puligny-Montrachet is finely cut and linear, with crisp acidity, pure white fruit, and a chalky, saline minerality running through the core. The finish is long, clean, and quietly complex, showcasing the clarity and poise that define top-class Burgundy Chardonnay.

Top food pairings:

  • Grilled turbot or sole with beurre blanc
  • Roast chicken with lemon, thyme, and garlic
  • Crab, lobster, or scallops with simple butter sauces
Kate Says

"This is Puligny doing what it does best – restrained, mineral, and quietly confident. Not showy, just beautifully precise. One for the Burgundy purists."

Producer Info

Domaine André Moingeon et Fils is a long-established family estate with roots stretching back over 150 years, formally founded in the 1950s and now run by three generations. Based in Saint-Aubin, the domaine farms around 10 hectares across the Côte de Beaune, including sought-after sites in Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. Their style is modern yet faithful to tradition, producing wines that are open and approachable while retaining the taut minerality that defines top Burgundy white wine.

How it’s made:

  • Varieties: 100% Chardonnay
  • Old vines planted between 1952 and 1962 on high, white-soil slopes
  • Carefully hand-harvested to preserve freshness and precision
  • Traditional fermentation with minimal intervention
  • Matured in oak barrels for around 12 months to build texture without masking terroir

Good to know:

  • Region: Puligny-Montrachet, Burgundy, France
  • Style: White, still, dry
  • Closure: Natural cork
  • ABV: 13%
  • Vintage: 2024

Why we love it:

This Puligny-Montrachet white wine is all about purity, balance, and site expression. From old vines on an elevated hillside, it delivers classic Burgundy Chardonnay flavours with real tension and ageing potential – a brilliant choice for collectors or anyone who loves mineral, food-friendly whites.
